XMOS Africa Ltd is committed to conducting its business in a way that ensures that its Quality Management System are well formulated and effectively implemented. XMOS Africa Ltd will manage these through compliance to its Quality management system and will review and improve the contents within it, ensuring the company continues to effectively manage it.
For this purpose it was certified for the ISO 9001: 2008 Certification in 2015 and is in process of upgrading to the 9001: 2015 certification.
XMOS AFRICA LTD INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POLICY
XMOS Africa Ltd (XMOS), as an organisation that specialises in the provision of Engineering services, do hereby set out its Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management Policy to meet the requirements of ISOs 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) International Standards. This policy has been made with the intent that the organization is well positioned to deal with the external and internal quality, occupational health, safety and environmental issues affecting the organization. At XMOS, Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS), delivered through the implementation of the Ten Mandatory Elements and Zero Harm program, are core to our business operations.
Management and employees share an uncompromising commitment to ensure the protection of the health and safety of people within and outside the business premises and to minimise any adverse impact of our business activities on the environment.
Management hereby expresses its commitment to the following:
- Understanding our IMS policy as an intrinsic part of all our products, business processes and service delivery across the entire value stream.
- Employ effective technology and processes that are available at reasonably affordable costs, to deliver services that constantly meet customers’ expectations.
- Providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health.
- Protection of the environment, which includes prevention of pollution.
- Ensuring availability of necessary technological options, infrastructural and facility development, employee competence as well as sound environmental and safe working conditions, which are all relevant to the context of the organization, required for advancement of the organization’s EHS processes.
- Ensuring full compliance with all national and international EHS laws, regulations and relevant conventions, including all compliance obligations, as well as other requirements that may be binding on the organization.
- A relentless effort to eliminate all hazards and potential hazards both to human and our environment and to reduce the attendant OH&S risks.
- Continual improvement of the OH&S and Environmental management systems to enhance occupational health and safety as well as environmental performance.
- Consultation with and participation of workers on occupational health and safety issues.
- The various commitments expressed in this policy statement shall provide the framework upon which Quality,
Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental objectives shall be set. It shall be ensured that these objectives objectives are set at relevant departments or processes in the organization to complement the central objectives.
